This is a coalition of Clergy from every faith and denomination who partner with the Arlington Police Department. ACAPP members and their organizations are called upon to pray for the police department members, build relationships with police officers and other governmental officials, and to be available for various situations involving our community. The goal is to achieve a safer community through prayer, community involvement, sharing information, and support in crisis situations.


Examples of tasks and responsibilities

  • Provide calm, in crisis situations, to prevent an escalation to violence
  • Assist in domestic situations where a spiritual leader is requested or needed
  • Conduct bible study as Jail ministries
  • Offer support to victims
  • Relay factual information back to the communities

Qualification Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Successfully pass a complete criminal history
  • Be a recognized leader in an established religion
  • Be able to attend a 36-hour training program (three hours, once a week for 12 weeks)
  • Be available to do a ride-along with an Arlington Police Officer
