Police investigating two unrelated motorcycle fatalities from weekend

 
The Arlington Police Department is investigating two unrelated motorcycle crashes that led to the deaths of two men. In the first fatality crash, which occurred early Saturday morning (Oct. 12), officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 900 block of SE Green Oaks Boulevard near South Collins Street. Officers were dispatched at about 2:30 a.m. and found the driver of a motorcycle had lost control and struck a tree. The man, who had been wearing a helmet, was later identified as Errick Pace, 35, of Cedar Hill. Pace was driven to Medical Center of Arlington, where he later died.  

The second traffic fatality occurred Friday afternoon. At about 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 11, officers responded to a two-vehicle wreck in the 2700 block of N. Collins Street. The driver of a motorcycle, later identified as Allen Darst, 66 of Euless, was heading northbound on Collins Street as a vehicle pulled out of a business parking lot. The two vehicles collided, causing Darst to be thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet. Darst was driven by ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he later died.
